when i trasnlate the language file in portuguese and i use characters like ç or ã i get a question mark instead of the real text, how can i solve this

the strange thing is that this happens partialy when i use label translations on jomres, i do see the ç but i don see the ã for example, but thats jomres related so i will pos it on the jomres forum, but maybe its related i dont know, and the difference is that on jomres i use label trnslation and on wire transfer i have to use the file itself.
any way, any ideas?

Have you saved the file using utf8 encoding without BOM?
You can use Notepad++ to edit the files and their encoding.
